MCLV Style: Caped Crusader
I’m completely obsessed with capes & capelets right now – It’s such a classic style that adds a touch of elegance to a daytime or nighttime look. I’ve ordered & tried on a few different styles & colors over the last few months but ultimately settled on this Betsey Johnson version – It’s a fairly basic silhouette but the faux fur collar adds a little something extra.

This look turned out to be quite versatile – I wore the dress to work with basic black pumps & tights and then just added a different statement necklace & ankle-strap heels to take the classic look from day to evening chic. It’s amazing how accessories can change a look so substantially – Lucky for me since I so frequently head to events straight from the office.
What do you think of capes & capelets this season? Perfect for the cold-weather & holidays this time of year or a little bit too over-the-top?
