Bloggers Do It Better: New York Fashion Week Street Style

In past seasons I’ve tried to include a round-up of street style shots for each of the four major Fashion Weeks so that you can see what people are wearing to the shows and events, in addition to what’s being shown on the runway. However, as I’ve gotten more and more interested in fashion and started following more and more fashion blogs, photographers, fashion magazine editors etc. I’ve realized that my favorite street style is almost always the fashion bloggers.

Their style is somehow more real. Yes, some of them are getting gifts and swag and being lent clothes, but the way that they put looks together and pair pieces from their own wardrobe, and mix high & low is just plain inspirational.

{I’m having a love affaire w/ rolled pants this Winter – I love the silhouette whether it’s with heels or ankle boots}

{This Tibi suit is one of my favorite power suits of New York Fashion Week. The bold hue, the cropped pants, the unique styling from We Wore What. Perfection!}

{I’m a total color junkie during Winter – I feel like it’s a great line of defense against seasonal depression. 🙂 And nothing about this fabulous floral + yellow look makes me 100% happy!}

{Sweet, ladylike, classic. Amid all of the Fashion with a capital F during Fashion Week sometimes a look that’s just plain chic rules the day!}

{I’m a sucked for jumpsuits! I love this sapphire colored Rebecca Taylor jumpsuit paired w/ the perfect green coat and great cold-weather accessories. You can check out another one of On The Racks’s great NYFW outfits over on my IFBCON post when I was lucky enough to meet her! :)}

{One of my favorite people to follow this season was Monroe Steele of Fashion Steele NY – In addition to putting together some killer looks, like this eye-catching white ensemble, she also looked like she was having a genuinely great time at all the shows. That kind of passion is just plain contagious!}

{LA-based Peace Love Shea always brings the drama when she heads to NYC and this look was head-to-toe perfection. Unfortunately the fact that this coral ensemble was Gucci had me utterly devastated since I couldn’t run out and buy my own asap.}

{Animal prints are a great way to spice up your Winter looks and keep things sartorially interesting. This Thakoon Addition leopard print blazer & suit combo was of my favorites and I loved how the always impeccably Chriselle Lim styled her look.}

{When it comes to chic, perfectly styled looks Wendy of Wendy’s Lookbook is one of my favorites, I love the yellow & green color combination here, the statement necklace, and the timeless Givenchy Nightingale Satchel. Tres chic!}
