An ongoing love affaire with all things fashionable, tasty and fun

Fashion Week Round-Up

Now that Fashion Month has come to an end I wanted to show you some of the fun highlights from the shows in New York City, London, Milan, and Paris. As with my first Fashion Week post {How To Apply Fashion Week To YOU} this isn’t going to be a review of the collections but rather some fun fashion inspiration to get you in the mood to put together your own killer Spring looks.

{You can always count on Olivia Palermo to pull together some fabulous looks for Fashion Week – She’s always one of the faces that I look for. Clearly she’s loving the prints trends for Spring as much as I am!}

{I love animal prints and I’ve been drooling over all the gorgeous embellishments for Spring – From studs & sequins to brocades, embroideries & beading. Leopard print + studs? This jacket is basically my happy place!}

{Checking out what the models are wearing between the shows & to the Fashion Week parties is always a highlight for me. This shot of the stylish ladies who walked the Burberry show at London Fashion Week is a great one from Shit Models Say – I love all the zebra print flats & Mr. Bailey looks fabulous!}

{I adore these Fashion Week: The Real Show pictures from Glamgerous, so many gorgeous shots of colorful, fun accessories. Time. To. Go. Shopping.}

{This Milan Fashion Week shot is one of my favorites – I love the chic black & white look punctuated with fun details. Those shoes are KILLER!}

{Fashionable friends Anne-Catherine Frey & Peony Lim stick together. I love both of these looks: On the left the paler hues & sweet prints look great with the white studded mini Alexander Wang Rocco Duffle and on the right the bright, bold printed pants are taken to a new level with dramatic oxblood accessories. Great job ladies!}

{Not only does she look AMAZING in red + orange, she also looks like she’s having a great time. Very refreshing!}

{This is without a doubt my favorite Fashion Week photo. During Fashion Week we’re always seeing editors, actors, celebrities, models, bloggers, and fashion industry insiders looking head-to-toe perfect in thousands of dollars of borrowed clothes, and I for one find that to be somewhat discouraging. It’s so great to see someone who I look up to doing something “real” that we’ve all done – i.e. changing out of heels and into comfortable shoes after an event.}

  1. Nice outfit, I like Aimee’s look and the way she changed her shoes 🙂 I guess we all do that in the street when it is needed ;)!

  3. Olivia Palermo is always flawless. I read an interview with her in Elle UK. Describing that she did her own make-up and hair. If that´s the case, I must say I admire her even more 🙂 xoxo KJ

  4. Does this mean fashion week is finally over? Great! I do love that last photo too. After a long day of heels, all I want to do is switch into flats.

    • Yup! 🙂 Though now I believe it’s time for NOLA Fashion Week and the Far East. It’s never *really* over is it?

  8. Oh I definitely bring flats with me when I go out. Sometimes you just can’t take the heels anymore! I LOVE every single one of Olivia’s looks. That girl is flawless every single time.

    • I agree on both points Amy! {Though I don’t look as cute as Aimee Song when I’m awkwardly changing into them post-event!}
