Hello, my name is Caity and I’m a freelance fashion journalist, shopping consulting, stylist-for-hire, blogger, and fashion advisor.

What To Expect:

MCLV is where I’ll be sharing everything fashion, food & fitness related that I love – From red carpet commentary & fashion show reviews to international street style & personal style posts to shopping advice & closet organizing tips to workouts & recipes to great fashion, health & fitness related links & fabulous looks from other fashion bloggers.

About Fashion:

I love fashion in all its glorious forms and styles – The clothes, fabrics, colors, shopping, magazines, models, accessories, bags & luggage, glossy advertisements, runway shows… To quote the fabulous Mr. Ford:

Fashion is everything. Art, music, furniture design, graphic design, hair, makeup, architecture, the way cars look – all those things go together to make a moment in time, and that’s what excites me.”

About Food:

I love to eat and I love food. Sometimes I cook, sometimes I eat out, and sometimes I consume nothing but potato chips for days at a time. True story. I dislike titles when it comes to eating habits as they inherently place limitations on what you can or should consume. I believe that you need to feed your desires and give in to your cravings, at least a little, to truly enjoy yourself.

Who can be glowing and happy if they’re hungry and cranky?

About Fitness:

Determining your ideal fitness regime is an exercise – pun intended – in trial and error. As a former athlete with injuries in my past, it has been an arduous journey to discover what works best for me. Using a trainer is a useful tool, especially for beginners, and trying interesting and fun new workouts like kickboxing, martial arts, SCUBA diving, yoga, CrossFit, cycling, or jogging can help you decide what works best for you. I’m a bit of a dabbler but my routine usually includes at least circuit training & long walks each week.

About MCLV:

My goal each morning is to live my life with passion and joy, and to fill my days with the things that I love. When you sit at a desk or in a classroom for hours a day it’s easy to fall into a rut – You’re exhausted, stressed, and effort becomes a truly foreign concept. MCLV was created to not only motivate me to continue doing things that interest, stimulate, exhilarate, and amuse me, but to share them with you and inspire you to do the same.

Disclaimer: I do not claim to be an expert in any of these subjects, nor do I claim – or aim – to be perfectly consistent with how I approach them. Ultimately I am a work in progress and each day is just another step on the path to where I will end up.

Hi! I’m Sue, and I’m from SlimKicker, a fitness/diet app and website. I saw your blog a few days ago and it captured my interest!

I’m contacting you b/c we’re about to release a fitness tracker (similar to FitBit) early next year, and are looking for bloggers who would be interested in receiving 1 for free to review when it is out (negative or positive).

Would you be interested in doing this? You can email me at: sue (at) slimkicker (com) with ‘Review’ in the email heading if you are.

For your info, our website SlimKicker basically turns your fitness/diet goals into a fun level-up game. The tracker will work with the website, and allow people to track calories burned and number of steps they walk automatically. The more they exercise, the more points they rack up! That’s basically how it will work.

Anyway, hope to hear back either way…

    – Sue

This blog is amazing. To call myself fashionably challenged would be a compliment. I also am the type to believe that the food pyramid consists of bacon, bacon, and more bacon. This blog is refreshing, easy read, and packed with nuggets of knowledge. Even though I consider myself a n00b in this world the way you write your installments is easy breezy and accounts even for me, the lowest common denominator.

I ❤ your blog. Its amazing to me that your a compliance officer for an investment place. Is it like a bank or something? How do you find the time to do so many cool things when it seems like that would be an intense job? I bet you probably have a lot of responsibilities there if your the compliance officer. Do you have people working for you? You are obviously really smart. 🙂
